Webinar on i (Travel) Agents for Future

In October, we participated in the TTG Travel Experience in Rimini. During the fair, Nicholas brought some Reflections on the new generation of travel agents and tour operators. Along with him, we heard from our guest speaker Diletta Rizzo, co-founder of EcoTips Travel Lab, a tour operator and travel agency based in Acireale, Sicily. EcoTips is one of the projects that participated in Pilot Program and we were glad to hear how it is proposing tourism products developed through some strategies and practices of slow tourism, active tourism, responsible tourism and so on.

There are plenty of tour operators who create experiences and trips by making ethical, responsible and sustainable choices, but it is not the same with regard to Travel Agents, who often end up selling cruises, resorts and destinations that are questionable in terms of sustainability, respect for human rights, etc.

We then asked ourselves:

Can people stop selling cruises and resorts?

Can a space be built that allows sellers to have their own economic satisfaction and simultaneously make a field choice?

What is important to communicate to today’s travel agencies are strategies and opportunities to pay back what they now need to give up, namely those products under the banner of mass tourism, blacklisted destinations, and generally all those products that have negative impacts on the environment, community, and economy.

Diletta told us about the strategies of the EcoTips Travel Lab project.

We think the topics of the speech are so important that we want to propose them to our Community as well.

In fact, on Wednesday, October 26, we organized a live streaming on Zoom and our Facebook group so that we could discuss this together.

Tripdoggy’s summer hits and doggytours sold out through New Year’s Eve

In recent weeks we have told you about some of the Creators and their successes during the summer season.

This time we tell you about Tripdoggy, a project we have been working with side by side since February 2022.

Since 2020 Tripdoggy has been organizing and offering fantastic trips and weekends to experience with your dog in wonderful places such as Tuscany, Piedmont, Trentino-Alto Adige, Abruzzo and Umbria.

We are proud to have supported Tripdoggy over the past few months and want to share our extraordinary achievements.

There were as many as 80 summer tours and weekends, with more than 300 participants including individuals, couples and groups, along with their four-legged friends, of course.

In addition, a milestone has been reached that fills us with excitement: through the support of the Apical team, the doggytours have been ALL SOLD OUT until New Year’s Eve. The Tripdoggy team is doing great, and we are confident that all the people who have booked an experience with them will have a great time meeting new people, discovering lovely places, and sharing their passion for dogs with knowledgeable and helpful dog guides and coordinators.

Trips organized by Tripdoggy are truly a must for all dog-lovers who want to book excursions and experiential activities at dog-friendly facilities quickly and easily.
